The Tomah Area School District has the following extracurricular vacancy beginning 2024-2025 school year:

Elementary Musical Co-Director

DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
• Ordering scripts for musical
• Organizing auditions by sending notes home to all 4th and 5th grade students in TASD
• Arranging after school rehearsals to use the high school stage and other locations, if needed
• Planning for transportation arrangements for student travel to practices as well as coordinate these plans for elementary students to attend performance of the play, while working with the elementary principals
• Making sure that all facilities used are organized after the production is over
• Producing a finished version of the musical to share so others can view it

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Making sure that both a drama and music director have been assigned to work on the production
• Keep in touch with AV Director about microphones needed for production
• Have available personnel assigned to take care of props, costumes, and scenery
• Assure that proper publicity has been done for the production

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
• Have some familiarity of the components of staging a theatrical production
• Be able to organize schedules for rehearsals
• Display leadership skills with adults and elementary students
• Be prepared to share your love of music and theatre with fourth and fifth grade students
