QUALIFICATIONS:  The successful candidate must pass the District's Nutrition Team Leader Test. Must possess the necessary interpersonal skills to deal courteously, cooperatively and effectively with students, teachers, co-workers, administrators, and the public. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in a food service environment. Have knowledge and proficiency with computers.  A High School Diploma, in addition to experience in large quantity cooking and school food service, is preferred.  Personnel Supervision and management experience preferred. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license required. Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted. An ability to decipher recipes and knowledge of basic mathematics is also required.  Wisconsin Restaurant Manager Certification required or employee must get with in first year in position.     
                                                                                                                                                                                                                      
COMPENSATION:  Wage will be in compliance with the employee handbook for the time worked.  The position is Monday–Friday, 5:30am-2:30pm (8 hrs/day) year-round position.
 
DUTIES (may include but not limited to the following)
      -  Cross training in high school, middle school, and elementary buildings to fill in when employees are absent
      -  Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to central and outlying kitchen staff
      -  Monitor and maintain all daily records of the central and outlying kitchens production
      -  Prepare and cook entree and other food items
      -  Set up serving line, serve food, apportioning  by menu count/restocks
      -  Operate a variety of food service equipment          
      -  Order food and supplies for central kitchen and outlying kitchens while maintaining a manageable inventory
      -  Properly handle and store foods
      -  Apply proper sanitation principles and procedures
      -  Operate POS System food service computer for scanning meals
      -  Observe and share effectiveness of all employees in the kitchen
      -  Train staff on new or existing food preparation and operational procedures  
      -  Any other duties assigned by your Supervisor
