The Tomah Area School District has the following vacancy beginning in the 2026-2027 school year:

Multilingual Learner (ML) Teacher (K-12)
Tomah Area School District is seeking an innovative educator who can work collaboratively with colleagues, develop positive relationships with students and parents, and build partnerships with the community.  This position requires a dynamic and progressive teacher who has a strong background in:  1) WiMLSS, 2) Professional Learning Communities, and 3) Universal Design for Learning or Differentiated Instruction.  The preferred candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized and demonstrate a positive attitude.  The ML Teacher provides English language development instruction to students who are acquiring English as an additional language and works collaboratively with other instructional employees to meet the individual needs of each student. Duties may include:  Evaluates the language needs of students, administers required language proficiency and academic achievement tests, utilizes language teaching strategies to increase English proficiency for students, serves as a resource to classroom teachers to help ML students achieve, and perform all other duties as assigned by Administration.  Travel between schools is required.
 
This is a full-time position starting with the 2026-27 school year.  Co-curricular coaching and advisor positions are available. 
 
Qualifications: Candidates should possess or be eligible to possess WI DPI Certification #1395 (English as a Second Language) or WI DPI Certification #1023 (K-12 ESL/Bilingual). Being fluent in Spanish is a plus. Applicants who hold a valid DPI teaching certification in any area and are interested in pursuing an emergency license for this position are encouraged to apply.
