Oakdale Electric Cooperative (OEC) is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Member Relations Specialist/Collections. This role involves providing information, advice, service, and assistance to cooperative members while maintaining a positive impression of the organization. The position requires extensive member contact through verbal and written communications. Responsibilities include working with delinquent members to establish payment arrangements, administering company policies regarding disconnects, security deposits, and reconnects, and collecting delinquent accounts through various methods including internal collection, use of collection agencies, and small claims court.
A high school diploma is required. Post-secondary education with a focus on administrative or accounting fields, along with relevant experience, is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
