The formation of Covia in 2018 is the most recent of many milestones in this organization’s history, dating back to 1970. Built from the merging of Fairmount Santrol and Unimin Corporation, Covia’s rich legacy includes many achievements across industries and markets of capital success through partnership.

As the oil and gas industry’s leading material solutions provider, Covia offers customers a broad array of high-quality products, distinctive technical capabilities and the industry’s most comprehensive and accessible distribution network. Our solutions serve the diverse and complex needs of customers in the oil and gas market.

With over 50 plants and 94 operating terminals, many of which are unit train capable and access to all major Class One railroads, we offer unmatched access and optionality with proximity to every major shale play. Located in the Town of Greenfield, Covia employs 78 full time employees at the Tunnel City location.
